El comité político del PLD ratificó al senador por Elías Piña Yván Lorenzo como el vocero de la bancada de legisladores que compone ese partido en la Cámara Alta.
La información fue otorgada por el secretario general de ese partido, Charlie Mariotti al término de una reunión del comité político del PLD que tuvo una duración de más cuatro horas.
En la misma reunión se decidió por votación que la escogencia del nuevo vocero de la Cámara de Diputados sea sometido a una votación interna entre los diputados peledeistas, en un encuentro que se realizará antes del 16 de agosto, que es cuando tendrán que presentar su buffet directivo. Actualmente Gustavo Sánchez es el vocero de la cámara baja.
Escogen siete subsecretarios
Otro punto en la agenda de elección, fueron las elecciones para escoger los 10 subsecretarios 35 de las 39 secretarías que componen la estructura del PLD, ya que antes se le dio la posibilidad a los titulares de escoger o recomendarlos.
Mariotti explicó que se aprobó la propuesta de que solo se escogieran a siete y dejar tres para la próxima reunión del comité político, con el fin de cubrir cualquier ausencia o falta debido a que muchos de los integrantes del partido se postularon.
El secretario general del PLD agregó que las votaciones se llevaron a cabo con el mismo proceso para la escogencia de las secretarias, el presidente, secretario general y los miembros del comité político del PLD. Para el proceso se utilizó el voto autorizado y 41 máquinas fueron habilitadas para ese fin y cada una tenía un código que le fueron entregados a cada miembro antes de iniciar las votaciones.
Las secretarías de Organización, Asuntos Electorales, de Dominicanos en el Exterior y de Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación no participarán en el proceso ya que forman parte de la denominada Comisión de Integración de la Línea Organizativa y Electoral que se encarga de montar el proceso organizativo, los subsecretarios de estás serán escogidos luego de terminado el proceso actual.
Los resultados serán presentados más adelante por las autoridades del partido.
Asistencia
A la reunión se dieron cita 42 de los 45 miembros del comité político, encabezados por el expresidente de la República, Danilo Medina; la exvicepresidenta, Margarita Cedeño de Fernández; el excandidato presidencial del partido, Gonzalo Castillo; el expresidente del partido, Temístocles Montas; el actual secretario general del Partido, Charlie Mariotti; entre otros.
Francisco Javier García, Rubén Toyota y Tommy Galán fueron los ausentes y de acuerdo con el secretario de comunicaciones, Héctor Olivo, todos presentaron sus excusas justificadas.
