Santo Domingo, RD- La Defensa Civil junto a otros cuerpos de rescate se sumaron a la búsqueda de un adolescente de 16 años que está desaparecido desde la noche del jueves en Santo Domingo Norte.
El menor de edad fue junto a un grupo de amigos a bañarse en el tramo del río Yaguasa que pasa por el Parque Nacional Mirador Norte, en Santo Domingo Norte. Luego de ingresar al afluente, no pudo salir del río, según familiares.

Desde la mañana de este miércoles, miembros locales de la Defensa Civil asistieron a brindar asistencia. A medida que ha transcurrido la mañana, se instruyó que se reforzara el operativo con unidades especializadas en rescate acuático de la sede central.
El director ejecutivo de la institución, Juan Salas, dijo que la institución emplea todos sus esfuerzos para la búsqueda del joven desde el momento en el que la Sala de Situación recibió el reporte pasadas las 7 de la noche del jueves.
Sin embargo, en situaciones como estas, la primera respuesta la da el Cuerpo de Bomberos local, bajo la dirección de la Alcaldía, y que la Defensa Civil acompaña las operaciones, explicó Delfin Rodríguez, encargado de Operaciones.
“Fuimos notificados a las 7:45 de la noche e inmediatamente se mandó al equipo local de la Defensa Civil para las labores de búsqueda y localización, pese a que después de que oscurece se detienen ese tipo de labores para preservar la vida de los rescatistas”, agregó.
Se recuerda que durante el transcurso de la semana el país sufrió un incremento de lluvia, producto del paso de la tormenta Fred, que según los últimos datos ofrecidos por el Comité Nacional de Emergencias (COE) desplazó a unas 4,025 personas.
Asimismo, dañó la infraestructura de 805 viviendas y destruyó a otras cinco.
