San Cristóbal. – El presidente Luis Abinader entreg obras en esta provincia por más de RD$697 millones que incluyen un reformatorio, inauguración de la Escuela Ivelisse Prats de Pérez y la reinauguración de la Carretera Sánchez.

Asimismo, diò el primer palazo para la construcción del mercado y matadero municipal de Nigua, al tiempo que el mandatario anunció la construcción de un parque y una capilla.

Todas estas obras fueron inauguradas y otras anunciadas por el mandatario al visitar este domingo la provincia de San Cristóbal al conmemorarse el 178 aniversario de la proclamación de la Constitución dominicana.

Con una inversión superior a los RD$400 millones de pesos el presidente Luis Abinader inauguró el Instituto Reformatorio para Menores José Francisco Peña Gómez en esta provincia.

El jefe de Estado precisó que la acción del Gobierno siempre estará orientada a garantizar el ejercicio pleno del derecho de los dominicanos, y de forma especial, una educación tecnificada, que apueste por la ciencia y el conocimiento.

«Por lo que en el día de hoy ponemos en manos de esta comunidad de San Cristóbal las tres etapas culminadas de este moderno Instituto Preparatorio de Menores, laboratorio con el que queremos apostar a que nuestros jóvenes tengan una segunda oportunidad a través de la enseñanza, la práctica saludable del deporte, el interés por la ciencia, la investigación y la tecnología», dijo el presidente Abinader.

En ese mismo tenor agregó, «con esta obra estamos dando un nuevo enfoque a la acción reformatoria que el Estado está llamado a realizar frente a los jóvenes que lo necesitan. Con una educación para los nuevos tiempos, más cercana a brindar oportunidades que a condenar eternamente sin ofrecer soluciones», sostuvo.

El gobernante agradeció a la Orden Religiosa de los Hermanos Capuchinos por servir en beneficio de los menores en su formación humana y religiosa.

De su lado, el ministro de Obras Públicas, Deligne Ascensión expresó que la obra que hoy entregan al Ministerio de Educación consta de tres etapas, con 23 aulas, laboratorio de informática, cancha deportiva, estadio de fútbol, así como otras instalaciones básicas.

Otras áreas contaran de dormitorios, baños, vestidores, área administrativa, comedor, zona de recreación y apoyo a los servicios básicos.

«Que apropiado que este instituto reformatorio esté designado con el nombre del Dr. José Francisco Peña Gómez. Y lo digo no por la condición de ser seguidor de él, sino porque fue una persona que estuvo aquí con maestros», expresó el ministro.

Mientras que el ministro de Educación Ángel Hernández valoró las acciones que impulsa el presidente Abinader en el ámbito educativo nacional.

Asimismo, el presidente Abinader inauguró la Escuela Ivelisse Prats de Pérez en el sector El Dique, municipio de Haina, con una inversión de RD$110 millones, la que beneficiará a más de 800 estudiantes.

El ministro de Obras Públicas, Deligne Ascensión Burgos al hacer formal entrega del centro educativo que administra Fe y Alegría, valoró la labor que realiza la comunidad religiosa en los barrios y zonas rurales del país por la calidad de su servicio a las comunidades, sus valores humanos y su vocación cristiana.

“Este centro dispone de 23 aulas, con espacios administrativos, servicios generales, áreas verdes, plaza cívica, parqueos, instalaciones deportivas, biblioteca, salones de multiuso, y su correspondiente zona de parqueos y verja perimetral. Esta magnífica estructura ha sido construida con una inversión de 110 millones de pesos, y ha sido designada con el nombre de la insigne profesora Ivelisse Prats Ramírez, a quien recordaremos siempre con invaluable admiración”, agregó.

De su lado, el ministro de Educación Ángel Hernández resaltó el respaldo del Gobierno a la educación del país.

«El presidente Abinader le ha dedicado mucho tiempo al sector educación y en resolver los problemas del sector y esto hay que agradecerlo», dijo.

Mercado y matadero municipal de San Gregorio de Nigua.

De igual modo, el presidente Abinader dio el primer palazo para la construcción del mercado y matadero municipal de San Gregorio de Nigua.

Al pronunciar unas breves palabras, el jefe del Estado también anunció a los munícipes de Nigua que les construirá un parque y una capilla.

Dijo además que en esta gestión de Gobierno se busca el dinero para invertir en lo que la personas requieren.

«Con dificultades se hace mucho en esta administración. Cada centavo lo invertimos para mejorar la calidad de vida de todos los ciudadanos», manifestó el gobernante.

Reinauguran Carretera Sánchez

Más adelante, el gobernante junto al ministro de Obras Públicas, Deligne Ascensión Burgos participó en la reinauguración de la Carretera Sánchez con una inversión de más de RD$187 millones.

El ministro de Obras Pública, al pronunciar unas breves palabras explicó que el tramo que hoy se entregó consta de dos partes «una desde la circunvalación hasta el peaje y de la circunvalación hasta la entrada de San Cristóbal con una longitud de unos 14 kilómetros».

Ascensión Burgos, indicó que se escuchó el llamado de los ciudadanos de instalar un sistema de semáforos y señalización de la vía para prevenir futuros accidentes.

De su parte la alcaldesa de Hatillo, Esperanza de Dios, agradeció a las autoridades por acudir en auxilio de esta comunidad que estuvo olvidada por años.

Almuerzo con personalidades de la provincia

Más adelante, el mandatario sostuvo en la Gobernación, un encuentro con empresarios, políticos y comunitarios de San Cristóbal, donde recibió y conoció el Plan Estratégico de Desarrollo de esta provincia, que tiene como objetivo desarrollar obras que llevarán bienestar a la población de esta zona.

Acompañaron al presidente Luis Abinader los ministros de la Presidencia, Joel Santos; de Educación Ángel Hernández; de Obras Públicas Deligne Ascensión Burgos; de Estado sin Cartera, Geanilda Vásquez; el viceministro administrativo de la Presidencia, Igor Rodríguez; la gobernadora provincial Pura Casilla; el alcalde José Montás; el senador Franklin Rodríguez y el diputado Gustavo Lara Salazar.

También Rafael Salazar, director de la Empresa Generadora Hidroeléctrica Dominicana (EGEHID); Julio César Tejeda director del distrito educativo 04-02 y Ana Josefina Duverge, directora del centro educativo.
