*Santo Domingo. -* El presidente Luis Abinader entregó este viernes al Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Comunicaciones una flotilla de más de 150 vehículos y equipos amarillos, con una inversión de más de RD$1,000 millones de pesos, para ser usados en los trabajos que realiza la institución a nivel nacional.
Durante la entrega, el jefe de Estado explicó que los recursos para la compra de los equipos proceden de los ahorros del peaje sombra.
«Cuando íbamos a determinar y a distribuir ya habíamos decidido comprar estos equipos pero ustedes saben como son los presupuestos. Entonces Deligne nos dijo presidente de los casi 5 mil millones déjenos mil cien aproximadamente para comprar los equipos», agregó el mandatario.
Asimismo, resaltó la importancia de este día para el Ministerio de Obras Públicas y su capacidad de resolver los problemas que se presentan en las provincias, municipios y distritos municipales y que a partir de ahora la institución y el gobierno responderán con mucha más eficiencia y efectividad en los diferentes puntos del país.
Sostuvo que para el día a día, Obras Públicas y el Ministerio de Agricultura necesitaban equipos para dar respuestas inmediatas.
Además, el presidente Abinader agregó, «Vamos a trabajar directamente con las Juntas de Vecinos, Deligne y los comunitarios, organizados con las ayudantías de las Gobernadoras».
La flotilla entregada es parte de la compra de 240 que está compuesta por 106 camionetas, 32 camiones, 12 equipos pesados de construcción, seis grúas, seis ambulancias y dos talleres móviles para reforzar los trabajos de mantenimiento a caminos vecinales, asistencia vial y supervisión de obras.
De su lado, el ministro de Obras Públicas, Deligne Ascención, destacó que con la entrega de los equipos se fortalecen los diferentes estamentos de la institución que dirige y agradeció al presidente Abinader el seguimiento y la iniciativa que se están poniendo en sus manos.
Sostuvo que se realizarán seminarios para el uso adecuados de los equipos entregados e informó que también se estarán realizando intervenciones de los diferentes caminos vecinales en el país.
Asimismo, el director general de equipos y Transporte, Elido Alcantara, dijo que este día le abordan sentimientos de júbilo por la entrega de equipos que vienen a dar respuestas a los sectores más vulnerables del país ,que llevarán más caminos vecinales en los diferentes puntos del país.
En tanto, el director general de Asistencia y Protección Vial, el general de brigada, Rafael Vázquez Espínola, expresó su satisfacción de recibir las 57 camionetas para dar respuestas a las diferentes ciudadanos que tengan algún inconveniente en su trayecto, en las carreteras del país.
Las unidades vehiculares serán usadas por los viceministerios de Coordinación Regional y de Supervisión y Fiscalización, así como la Comisión Militar y Policial (Comipol), y los departamentos de Transportación y Pavimentación Vial.
Asistieron al acto, el ministro Administrativo de la Presidencia, José Ignacio Paliza; el Contralor General de la República, Catalino Correa; el director del Fideicomiso RD Vial, Jean Luis Rodríguez; los viceministros de Planificación y Regulación Técnica, Ángel Tejeda Cuevas; de Infraestructura Vial, Elias Santana; de Coordinación Regional, Luis Germán Bastardo y de Mantenimiento Vial, Melito Santana.
