Partidos políticos acuerdan con la JCE abstenerse de hacer actividades de precampaña.

El pleno de la Junta Central Electoral (JCE) firmó junto a representantes de los diversos partidos políticos del país un acuerdo en donde ambas partes se comprometen a realizar únicamente a lo interno sus actividades y mítines.

La reunión llevada a cabo a puertas cerradas este jueves en la sede de la institución se extendió por poco más de cuatro horas.

 

Al finalizar, el presidente de la Junta, Román Jaquez Liranzo informó a los medios de comunicación que las organizaciones políticas «se acogieron íntegramente al documento» y llegaron a un convenio en el que se reiteró la prohibición de actos de precampaña donde se promuevan a candidatos o precandidatos.

«El pleno reitera la resolución 28-2021 donde se establece todo lo que está permitido y no permitido en el periodo de precampaña», dijo Jaquez.

El pacto «por la integridad electoral» fue firmado por todos los representantes de los partidos políticos presentes en el encuentro, por el titular de la JCE y por los miembros del pleno del órgano.

 

El encuentro fue propiciado por la JCE luego de emitir un comunicado la semana pasada donde llamaba la atención de los partidos políticos con «profunda preocupación» por el «desbordamiento del proselitismo electoral» en el que, según consideran, están incurriendo estás estructuras.

En ese comunicado, el órgano electoral manifestó también que estas acciones, además de atentar contra la ley, «amenazan gravemente con quebrantar la integridad electoral», por lo que convocaron a los representantes de los partidos políticos para discutir el tema este jueves y llegar a un acuerdo al respecto.

 

A la firma de la carta compromiso asistieron Sigmund Freund, del oficialista Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), José Ramón Fadul, del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD), Guillermo Moreno, presidente de Alianza País (AP), Manuel Crespo, delegado ante la JCE de la Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) y Jeannette Camilo, del Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD).

También asistió Eddy Olivares, libro de la Dirección Ejecutiva del partido oficialista, quien a su salida de la reunión se mostró conforme con lo pautado, especialmente porque no se restringieron las campañas institucionales.

«Los partidos políticos tienen una vida propia, activa, permanente, y en consecuencia realizan actividades diversas en las que se convocan personas y eso quedó claramente establecido en el acuerdo, los partidos seguirán celebrando sus actividades institucionales sin promover a nadie, absteniéndose de hacer planteamientos relativos a candidaturas», dijo Olivares.

Más temprano, estos dirigentes se mostraron en disposición de pactar el acuerdo y solo los partidos Fuerza del Pueblo y PRM informaron que presentarían sus observaciones antes de asumir el compromiso.

 

Las mismas giraban en torno a la revisión de la publicidad gubernamental y a la no restricción de las campañas institucionales.
