OMSA pondrá en funcionamiento este lunes seis corredores para estudiantes nocturnos

A partir de este lunes 05 de septiembre, la Oficina Metropolitana de Servicios de Autobuses (OMSA) pondrá en funcionamiento cinco rutas alternativas para estudiantes universitarios de Santo Domingo y una para Santiago, las que ofrecerán el servicio de transporte en horario nocturno.

Radhamés González, director general en la entidad, informó que con la implementación de estas rutas, la OMSA dará respuesta a la necesidad de miles de estudiantes universitarios de las dos provincias más importantes del país que requieren un transporte económico y seguro diariamente.

 

A través de un comunicado, González explicó que las nuevas cinco rutas en Santo Domingo y una en Santiago, empezarán sus recorridos a partir de las 06:00 de la tarde hasta las 11:00 de la noche.

Detalló que las cinco rutas de Santo Domingo saldrán de la UASD, pero dos de estas beneficiarán de igual manera a estudiantes de la O&M y Unicaribe. Los autobuses serán ubicados en los alrededores del comedor universitario, desde donde partirán a diferentes localidades. Las rutas son:

 

1. Ruta UASD-Boca Chica, que irá por el Malecón, tomará la avenida Las Américas y llegará hasta Valiente.

 

2. Ruta UASD-Pantoja, que recorrerá por la avenida Tiradentes y la Av. John F. Kennedy.

 

3. Ruta UASD-San Isidro, que recorrerá las avenidas José Contreras, la Máximo Gómez, la John F. Kennedy hasta San Isidro.

4. Ruta UASD-Los Alcarrizos, que transitará la Av. Dr. Bernardo Correa y Cidrón, bajará la avenida Italia hacia la O&M, se trasladará por el Malecón, y se parará en la Unicaribe para tomar la avenida Luperón hasta Los Alcarrizos.

 

5. Ruta UASD-Nigua, que hará el mismo recorrido de la que va dirección hacia Los Alcarrizos, pero en dirección final hacia Nigua.

 

En el caso de Santiago, se habilitará la ruta UASD-Cienfuegos, la cual partirá desde la sede de la UASD en Santiago, tomará la Villa Olímpica, pasará por la Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (Utesa), la Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (Pucmm) hasta Cienfuegos.

El director general de la OMSA dijo que dichas rutas fueron coordinadas con el apoyo del Instituto Nacional de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Intrant) y representantes de las diferentes asociaciones de estudiantiles de la UASD.
