Santo Domingo- El juez del Tercer Juzgado de la Instrucción del Distrito Nacional, Amauri Martínez, conocerá hoy viernes el juicio preliminar seguido a los 63 implicados en el caso Medusa, cuyo principal acusado es el ex procurador general de la República, Jean Alain Rodríguez.
La audiencia será conocida a las 9:00 de la mañana en el salón de audiencias de la Corte de Apelación Civil y Comercial del Distrito Nacional, ubicada en el antiguo Palacio de Justicia del Centro de los Héroes, por razones de espacio.
Durante esta etapa se inicia el juicio a la prueba, en la que se determinará si la acusación tiene los méritos suficientes para enviar a los procesados a juicio de fondo o de lo contrario se dictaría auto de no ha lugar. En el caso, no queda ningún imputado en prisión preventiva.
Figuran además como acusados el exdirector de Tecnología de la Información y la Comunicación del ministerio público, Javier Alejandro Forteza Ibarra; el exdirector administrativo, Jonathan Joel Rodríguez Imbert, la ex encargada de Proyectos, ingeniera Jenny Marte Peña.
Igualmente, los ex subdirectores administrativos Alfredo Alexander Solano Augusto y Altagracia Guillén Calzado, así como Rafael Antonio Mercedes Marte, exdirector de Contabilidad, y Miguel de Moya.
En la lista de los nuevos acusados figura Ramón Burgos Acosta, exdirector del Sistema Nacional de Resolución Alterna de Conflictos (Sinarec); Félix Antonio Rosario, exdirector de la Oficina de Acceso a la Información Pública del ministerio público; Braulio Michael Batista, Jonathan Medina Reyes, Ysis Tapia, Mercedes Salcedo Disla, Carolina Pimentel Bonifacio y Francis Ramírez Moreno.
Asimismo, Lisandro José Macarrulla Martínez, Reynaldo Santos de la Cruz, Daniel Enrique Feliz, Francisco Arturo Santos, Fausto Cáceres Salterio, Francisco Alberto Vásquez, Carlos Augusto Guzmán Oliver, Rafael Salvador Rasuk, Sean Hudson Dwiggins, Ricardo Antonio Carrasquero, José Antonio Santana Julián, Felipe Fernández de Castro e Ismael Elías de Jesús.

El mes pasado el juez Martínez dispuso arresto domiciliario en contra del exprocurador Alain Rodríguez, principal implicado en el caso Medusa.
El juez adoptó la decisión de variar la prisión preventiva que pesaba en contra Rodríguez y le impuso también una garantía económica de 50 millones de pesos, bajo modalidad de contrato, impedimento de salida del país y colocación de brazalete electrónico.
El 29 de junio de 2021, Jean Alain fue recluido en el Centro de Corrección y Rehabilitación (CCR) Najayo Hombres, en la provincia San Cristóbal.
