Santo Domingo. – El embajador de España en el país, Antonio Pérez Hernández, dijo hoy que el gobierno del presidente Luis Abinader se maneja con una excepcional capacidad de gestión y que República Dominicana es un ejemplo de cómo un país puede desarrollarse en democracia y estabilidad.

“El actual gobierno del presidente Abinader se ha distinguido y creo que esto es algo que todo el mundo reconoce, por una excepcional capacidad de gestión en cuestiones tan complejas como la lucha contra el Covid, la posterior recuperación de la economía y el último de los embates que estamos conduciendo; la lucha contra el alza de los precios mundial”, expresó.

 

Y agregó: “Los inversores extranjeros se encuentran muy a gusto en el país con seguridad jurídica y abierto a la inversión extranjera. La presencia del señor presidente aquí que nos honra, es una señal inequívoca de compromiso de su gobierno.

 

Destacó que las relaciones entre República Dominicana y España son excelentes y ahora están dadas las circunstancias para darles un nuevo impulso y situarlas a un nivel aún más alto.

 

“Nuestra cooperación creo que es importante y apreciable, somos uno de los principales donantes y tenemos ahora mismo 68 proyectos en ejecución por valor de 42 millones de euros y operaciones financieras en términos concesionales con cargo al fondo FONPRODE por valor de 110 millones de euros”, indicó Pérez Hernández.

 

El diplomático expuso que este encuentro se ha realizado con el objetivo de ampliar las relaciones comerciales entre ambos países hacia otros sectores y resaltó que actualmente son muy buenas en los ámbitos económico y comercial y con una importante presencia en el turismo.

 

Agradeció al presidente Luis Abinader por su presencia en este primer encuentro empresarial.

 

República Dominicana es una apuesta segura

De su lado, el presidente Luis Abinader afirmó este miércoles que la inversión extranjera en la República Dominicana es una apuesta segura para todos los inversionistas, asegurando que en su mayoría la colocación de esos capitales en el territorio nacional ha sido una historia de éxitos.

 

Al encabezar la apertura del encuentro empresarial entre España y República Dominicana denominado «Una visión de la financiación multilateral» celebrado en el Hotel Embajador, en esta capital, dijo que el clima de seguridad para la inversión prevaleciente actualmente ha sido un factor determinante para esa dinámica empresarial.

 

“Quiero reiterarles que la apuesta de inversión en la República Dominicana es una apuesta segura a todos los inversionistas y se ven los resultados de todas esas inversiones por décadas, ustedes podrán notar que por décadas la inmensa mayoría es una historia de éxitos, de mayores inversiones y las cuales realmente ha sido un ganar ganar, tanto para el Gobierno dominicano como también para esas empresas”, manifestó.

 

El mandatario enfatizó que la República Dominicana y España son verdaderos aliados y que eso ha quedado demostrado en las circunstancias más difíciles y de manera especial, el pasado año, tras la pandemia de la Covid-19.

 

Resaltó, además que, durante la Cumbre Iberoamericana, en la Península de Andorra, en abril del año pasado, cuando había una situación de escasez en medio de la pandemia, pudo ver a su majestad el Rey de España, Felipe VI y al presidente del Gobierno Español, Pedro Sánchez, decir que el 10% de todas las vacunas que llegaron a España fueron también enviadas a Latinoamérica.

 

Dijo que una acción de esta magnitud solo la hace un país aliado y que siente preocupación por los países latinoamericanos por lo cual en la República Dominicana se le tiene un especial aprecio, dada la solidaridad de los españoles.

 

Sobre los esfuerzos por atraer capitales extranjeros al país, el presidente Luis Abinader dijo, que este es un gobierno que está a favor de la inversión, que es Pro-Inversión, Pro-Empresa y Pro-Empleo, consciente de que todos estos elementos ayudan al desarrollo de un país.

 

Valoró la labor desplegada a partir del programa Burocracia Cero, el cual expuso, ha contribuido ha facilitado los permisos para la aceleración de los trámites relacionados a la instalación de nuevos proyectos e inversiones, siempre dijo, cumpliendo éstos con las normas y leyes dominicanas.

 

Al respecto apuntó que le comunicó a la secretaría de Estado de Comercio de España y presidenta de ICEX España, Exportación e Inversiones, Xiana Méndez, que se encuentran siempre dispuestos a escuchar y a solucionar cualquier problema que se presente a través de Proinversión, de Industria y Comercio y también de la Cancillería.

 

«Lo que queremos es una relación que sea de mutuo beneficio para los inversionistas y para República Dominicana y así lo ha sido y queremos que todavía sea mucho más», destacó el presidente Abinader.

 

Mandatario ve inversiones de españoles como dominicanos que también invierten en España

 

Sostuvo que cuando observa muchos inversionistas españoles en diversas áreas, especialmente en el turismo, lo cual se lo ha comunicado al Rey de España, el mandatario afirmó que los ve como empresarios dominicanos que también tienen inversiones en España.

 

«Porque han actuado en este país con decisión, amor, con compromiso social y eso lo agradecemos, lo impulsamos. Quiero que sepan y reiterar que, en este país, así como España es nuestra puerta hacia Europa, queremos que República Dominicana sea el Hub logístico y empresarial y que sean también la puerta de España hacia toda Latinoamérica», destacó el jefe de Estado.

 

Buenos lazos entre ambas naciones

 

En tanto que, la secretaria de Estado de Comercio de España y presidenta de ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, Xiana Méndez, manifestó República Dominicana y España han sido socios desde siempre en todos los campos y que en años recientes han mejorado significativamente.

 

Expuso que el propósito de este encuentro empresarial es atraer la inversión a un país que ofrece muchos factores de atractivos más allá del sector hotelero que son importantes para el desarrollo económico y social.

Asimismo, el ministro de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes (MICM) Víctor -Ito- Bisonó, destacó que España es uno de los principales socios de la República Dominicana, representando el 2.3% de intercambio comercial del país con el resto del mundo en el año 2022.

 

Durante su discurso, el ministro resaltó el impulso económico que tiene la República Dominicana gracias a la visión de crecimiento y desarrollo emprendida por el presidente Abinader y apuntó que este es el escenario propicio para que las empresas que visitan el país desde España encuentren socios estratégicos con los que puedan crear, expandir y desarrollar sus actuales negocios.

 

En tanto, el vicepresidente Ejecutivo de la Asociación de Industrias de la República Dominicana (AIRD), Mario Pujols, valoró que actualmente se cuenta con un buen andamiaje gubernamental que genera confianza en el sector empresarial y en sector productivo, habiéndose manifestado desde el inicio de la gestión que encabeza el presidente Abinader.

 

Resaltó el programa de Burocracia Cero el cual hace más fácil no solamente la inversión extranjera, indicando sobre ello, que las exportaciones nacionales han aumentado un 64% a España referente a bienes de consumo y materias primas.

 

De igual forma, el director General de CEOE Internacional y secretario Permanente del Consejo de Empresarios Iberoamericano (CEIB), Narciso Casado, dijo que la jornada empresarial es una excelente oportunidad para reafirmar el compromiso con República Dominicana por la internacionalización del tejido empresarial y para conocer de primera mano los esfuerzos y herramientas que se colocan a disposición de las empresas para fomentar las oportunidades de comercio e inversión en el país.

El objetivo de este encuentro empresarial es dar a conocer a las empresas españolas las oportunidades de inversión y cooperación empresarial que ofrece República Dominicana dentro de sus planes de desarrollo nacionales en los sectores de Agua y Saneamiento, Energías Renovables y Tecnología Agrícola, así como facilitar la identificación de potenciales socios locales por parte de las empresas españolas participantes con los que poder llevar a cabo proyectos conjuntos de colaboración.

 

Asimismo, este tiene un marcado acento puesto en la financiación multilateral y, en este sentido, persigue también dar a conocer las herramientas que las instituciones financieras internacionales (IFIs) y bilaterales ponen a disposición de las empresas de ambos países interesadas en participar en los proyectos de inversión.

 

En total, alrededor de 40 empresas españolas y más de 120 locales participan en este cónclave, en el que se prevé habrá alrededor de 100 ruedas de negocio previamente agendadas.
