Conocen medida de coerción a Miguel Cruz por muerte de Orlando Jorge Mera.

Este sábado se conocerá la audiencia de solicitud de medida de coerción en contra de Fausto Miguel Cruz de la Mota, quien ultimó de varios disparos al ministro de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, Orlando Jorge Mera, el pasado lunes.

 

La audiencia estaba pautada para ser realizada el pasado jueves pero el magistrado Francisco Rodríguez, del Juzgado de Atención Permanente del Distrito Nacional, decidió pautar nueva fecha para el conocimiento de la solicitud de medida de coerción, a raíz de que la defensa del victimario declaró necesitar más tiempo para conocer el expediente.

El Ministerio Público ha pedido un año de prisión preventiva, y detalló en el documento de solicitud de medida de coerción que Cruz cometió el hecho por la negación de un permiso para la exportación de unas 5,000 toneladas de baterías usadas.

 

Los abogados de Fausto Miguel Cruz afirmaron que no se opondrán a la medida de coerción solicitada por los fiscales, aunque aseguraron que su defendido «no es culpable».

“La defensa se reunió y determinó que, independientemente del presupuesto que él (Fausto Miguel Cruz) tiene para no imponerle prisión preventiva, lo mejor es, por prudencia, no nos vamos a oponer a la medida de coerción incoada por el Ministerio Público”, manifestó Ivo René Sánchez, miembro de la defensa del imputado.
