COE reporta 12 fallecidos en segundo día del operativo “Conciencia por la Vida Semana Santa 2022″

SANTO DOMINGO. – El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE), reportó este sábado en su segundo boletín del operativo “Conciencia por la Vida Semana Santa 2022”, un total de 12 fallecidos en accidente de tránsito.

 

De acuerdo al director de la institución, el mayor general Juan Manuel Méndez, 8 de los fallecidos fueron dentro del dispositivo de seguridad y cuatro fuera del mismo.

 

Dijo, además, que en las últimas 24 horas se reportaron 52 accidentes de tránsito resultando 81 personas afectas. De estos accidentes, 24 ocurrieron en autopistas y carreteras y 23 en cascos urbanos.

Durante una rueda de prensa, Méndez precisó, que se atendieron unas 206 personas por intoxicación de alcohol, de las cuales 8 resultaron ser menores de edad entre 15 y 17 años y se reportaron 84 personas intoxicadas por alimentos.

Asimismo, indicó, que 23 personas fueron rescatas en ríos y playas y 17 menores que estaba extraviados fueron encontrados y entregados a sus padres.

Sin embargo a nuestra redacción llegan dos casos más por ahogamiento, una niña de nacionalidad haitiana quien murió  en una cisterna en Higüey y el segundo un señor de unos 47 años en el Enriquillo.
