Dejan sin efecto estado de rebeldía a la pareja ligada al caso ‘Pulpo’.

EL MAGISTRADO DEIBY TIMOTEO PEGUERO, JUEZ DEL SÉPTIMO JUZGADO DE LA INSTRUCCIÓN DEL DISTRITO NACIONAL, APLAZÓ LA AUDIENCIA PARA EL 16 DE MAYO DE ESTE AÑO.

El Séptimo Juzgado de la Instrucción del Distri­to Nacional ha levantado la declaratoria de rebeldía que había dictado en con­tra de una pareja de espo­sos implicados en el caso Antipulpo.

Mientras, el juez de ese­el ente de justicia aplazó la audiencia para el 16 de mayo.

 

El magistrado Deiby Ti­moteo Peguero tomó la decisión luego de que Pao­la Mercedes Molina Sua­zo, quien trabajó con el equipo de campaña del excandidato presidencial peledeísta, Gonzalo Cas­tillo, y su esposo, Carlos Martín Monte de Oca, se presentaran a la audiencia donde se estaba conocien­do el juicio preliminar.

La imputada, actualmen­te en estado de gestación, compareció al tribunal en compañía de su esposo, y una vez dieron sus datos el juez los despachó pa­ra que comparezcan a la próxima vista.

Ya antes, al inicio de la au­diencia, el juez había dic­tado orden de arresto en contra de la pareja, tras declararla en rebeldía. Ha­bía acogido así una solicitud de Wilson Camacho, titular de la Procuraduría Especia­lizada de Persecución de la Corrupción Administrativa (Pepca).

Por qué pidieron arresto

Camacho había pedido el arresto debido a que los dos acusados fueron notifica­dos para asistir a la audien­cia preliminar, pero estos no asistieron y tampoco man­daron excusas.

En cuanto a la defensa del imputado Francisco Ramón Brea, el juez le otorgó un plazo de 48 horas para que justifique la inasistencia de su defensa técnica.

El tribunal alegó que, en caso de no justificar, se procederá a decretar el abandono de los abo­gados, debiendo el im­putado designar nueva defensa o el tribunal le de­signará uno de la defensa pública.

Alegatos de la defensa

José Miguel Minier dijo que en la etapa de investigación se le solicitó al ministerio público nombrar a un peri­to, que le solicitara al Ban­co de Reservas la vida finan­ciera de su cliente, a quien acusan de lavado de acti­vos, pero asegura no lo han hecho.

Manifestó que ese pedimen­to se lo solicitaron al juez, quien ordenó al ministerio público la entrega de todos los interrogatorios realiza­dos en la etapa de investiga­ción y designó un perito, cu­yo resultado fue depositado en el tribunal el lunes 28 de marzo.

Expresó que ese peritaje di­ce todo lo contrario a la fal­sedad y la manipulación y al sello gomígrafo de lo que es el presidente de la Cáma­ra de Cuentas.

Lo que dicen los fiscales

Los acusados fueron arrestados el 29 de no­viembre de 2020, luego de que la Procuraduría General de la Repúbli­ca practicara numerosos allanamientos.

Los fiscales afirman que los detenidos “aprovecha­ron vínculos familiares con el poder político para acumular fortunas duran­te el pasado período de go­bierno”.
