–Presidente Abinader dice, toca ahora continuar muchas de estas acciones para llevar un salario digno y justo, con consenso y sin discursos divisionistas ni populistas._
Santo Domingo.-El Gobierno anunció este martes un aumento salarial sin precedentes de un 101.8% a los trabajadores agrícolas y un 97% a los administrativos del sector azucarero, retroactivo a enero 2022, lo que constituye un acto de justicia social y reivindicación de derechos.
El presidente Luis Abinader, quien encabezó el acto del anuncio, calificó como sin precedentes duplicar los salarios a todo el sector de los trabajadores del azúcar.
Los detalles del aumento fueron dados a conocer por el ministro de Trabajo, Luis Miguel de Camps en la sede de la institución que dirige.
Con este incremento salarial los trabajadores fabriles y administrativos pasan de 7,663 pesos a 15 mil pesos, prácticamente al doble y los agrícolas de campo de 198 pesos con 24 centavos la jornada de 8 horas a 400 pesos.
De Camps manifestó que el incremento salarial se logró gracias al consenso de los sectores empleador, trabajador, y el gobierno.
“Hasta el día de hoy, los trabajadores en el sector de la industria del azúcar en nuestro país tenían dos salarios mínimos, según el trabajo que se desarrollaba. Para los trabajadores agrícolas de campo en el área del azúcar, el salario era de 198 pesos con 24 centavos la jornada de 8 horas y para los trabajadores de las fábricas y de las áreas administrativas de estos salarios mínimos eran 7,663 pesos, aproximadamente”, informó.
Y agregó: “Gracias a estos acuerdos, tenemos el honor de anunciar que para los trabajadores agrícolas de campo en el sector del azúcar se acuerda un aumento de 101.8% en el salario de los trabajadores, llevándolo a 400 pesos la jornada de 8 horas. Este aumento es un aumento sin precedentes en la República Dominicana, pasando a más que duplicar este salario”.
Aseguró que el Gobierno está trabajando día a día por los hombres y mujeres que con su esfuerzo echan cada día esta patria a andar, por ellos el esfuerzo y toda la dedicación de la gestión que encabeza el presidente Abinader.
El ministro de Trabajo expresó que esto constituye sin lugar a dudas un aumento histórico para este sector que contribuirá a mejorar la calidad de vida de estos trabajadores y sus familias.
Sin dejar de lado a ningún sector
“Desde este Ministerio seguiremos, con el apoyo del presidente Luis Abinader, articulando esfuerzos en pos de lograr importantes y significativas mejoras en la calidad de vida de nuestra clase trabajadora, sin dejar de lado a ningún sector”, sostuvo.
Resaltó que esto es una muestra de la visión de este gobierno de lograr una República Dominicana competitiva, pero con mejores salarios que se atienda a la productividad, que se sume valor, mejores servicios para la población, pero en primer lugar poner ante todo la mejoría de la calidad de vida de la gente.
De Camps precisó que se trata de un acuerdo consensuado de manera amplia y tripartita por sectores de los trabajadores, empleadores y el Gobierno, fortaleciendo el diálogo social, respecto al sector azúcar del país.
“Este es el aumento salarial número 5 que se ha producido en esta gestión. Todos bajo consenso, diálogo social fortalecido, tripartito madurado y esto es lo que nosotros repetimos hoy y que hemos dicho en otros espacios”, indicó el funcionario.
Sostuvo que es un privilegio trabajar y contribuir al cambio de la mirada que se le daba a los trabajadores y trabajadoras dominicanas anteriormente apoyando en la visión del presidente Luis Abinader de reformar el sistema laboral dominicano y generar un nuevo Ministerio de Trabajo y una nueva relación con los trabajadores dominicanos.

Duplicar este salario, enfatizó el presidente Abinader, se ha conseguido con el consenso de los sectores patronal y sindical, con la madurez que tiene el pueblo dominicano, que sentándose en las mesas, puede conseguir mucho más, sobre todo, cuando tiene un árbitro que el único interés que persigue es mejorar la calidad de vida del pueblo.
El consenso, añadió, ha permitido luchar con éxito contra la pandemia provocada por el COVID-19, así como la recuperación económica.
El mandatario dijo que toca ahora continuar muchas de estas acciones para llevar un salario digno, justo, pues se necesita seguir avanzando.
“Estamos seguro que lo vamos a lograr con el consenso, sin discurso populista, sin discurso de dividir a la sociedad dominicana”, expresó Abinader.
Esto se demuestra, subrayó, que los grandes logros y avances reales de la población dominicana se logran con el diálogo, no con discursos divisionistas, sino con hechos.
Consideró que la sociedad dominicana lo que necesita y lo que necesitaba un árbitro como lo es el gobierno en este momento, un árbitro real, que no tuviera ningún tipo de intereses de ningún sector, y que tuviera la pasión y el deseo de mejorar la calidad de vida de todos los dominicanos.
Recordó que en 18 meses de gobierno han logrado los mayores avances en términos sociales en un periodo relativamente corto. Mencionó que han dado más 2 millones 200 mil seguros médicos de SENASA.
Asimismo, que han duplicado las ayudas sociales tanto en términos del monto que reciben de 850 pesos que recibían a 1650 y le han agregado 500 mil personas entre los beneficiarios.
“Pero también hace unos meses aumentamos en más un 21% el salario mínimo, aumentando así también el salario real que a pesar de los niveles de inflación ha aumentado ese salario real”, indicó.
Asistieron al acto el director ejecutivo del Consejo Estatal del Azúcar, César Julio Cedeño Ávila; los presidentes de la Confederación Nacional de Unidad Sindical (CNUS), Rafael -Pepe- Abreu; de la Confederación Autónoma Sindical Clasista (CASC), Gabriel del Río y de la Confederación Nacional de Trabajadores Dominicanos (CNTD), Jacobo Ramos y el director general del Comité Nacional de Salarios, Martín Mieses.
Además, el presidente y el director ejecutivo de la Confederación Patronal de la República Dominicana (COPARDOM), William Matías y Pedro Rodríguez, respectivamente; el vicepresidente del Central Romana Corporation, Eduardo Martínez Lema; el presidente del Consorcio Azucarero Central (CAC), Virgilio Pérez; en representación del Consorcio Azucarero de Empresas Industriales (CAEI), Josefina Dieguez y el vicepresidente del CNUS y enlace con sector azucarero, Próspero Davance Juan.
