En el día de ayer domingo se reportó un accidente a la altura del kilometro 30 de la autopista del nordeste Juan Pablo II, hecho en el que fallecieron dos hombres.
Los fallecidos fueron identificados como Amaury Martínez Meran, de 27 años y su hermano Nelson Martínez Meran, de 30 años de edad, ambos residentes en el sector Los Frailes, de Santo Domingo Este.
En el hecho se produjo en la tarde del domingo, cuando una motocicleta, un carro y una jeepeta chocaron, provocando que el último vehículo hasta saliera de la carretera.
El carro en cuestión quedó totalmente destrozado y la motocicleta en su chasis se partió varias veces.
Al lugar se presentó la Unidad de sistema de Emergencias 911, agentes de la policía, miembros del cuerpo de bomberos de Monte Plata, miembros y agentes de la Defensa Civil.
De igual forma personas que transitaban por dicha vía ayudaron a socorrer y se solidarizaron con las víctimas.
