SANTO DOMINGO.- El Quinto Juzgado de la Instrucción del Distrito Nacional ordenó este viernes la libertad del expelotero de Grandes Ligas, Juan Encarnación, acusado de intento de agresión sexual contra su hija. El tribunal dispuso archivar el expediente por no encontrar pruebas suficientes que justifiquen la continuación del proceso judicial.
La madre de la menor denunció que Encarnación supuestamente, habría tratado de agredir sexualmente a la infante en mayo del 2021. La puesta en libertad del Encarnación se atribuye a una versión dada por el abogado Tomás Castro con la doctora Manuela Ramírez, quien llevó el proceso en defensa del acusado.
La fiscalía argumentó que el acusado entró a la habitación de la menor mientras esta dormía y alegadamente aprovechó para el intento de agresión sexual, por la que se le acusa. Pidió un año de prisión preventiva.
La barra de defensa del expelotero de Grandes Ligas reiteró que la hija menor de edad, había sido manipulada por su madre para declarar contra su padre.
El imputado cumplía arresto domiciliario, luego que la Segunda Sala Penal de la Corte de Apelación del Distrito Nacional, le varió la prisión preventiva interpuesta como medida de coerción contra el expelotero de Grandes Ligas.
