Inaugura Hospital Municipal de Galván, en Bahoruco, remozado por más de RD$10 millones
Barahona. El presidente Luis Abinader estuvo este sábado en Barahona, donde encabezó los actos de remozamiento de las playas Los Patos y El Quemaito a un costo superior a los 83 millones de pesos y que crean oportunidades de empleo para los residentes de esas zonas.
Con proyectos como estos, afirmó el Presidente, estamos creando “una República Dominicana con mejor calidad de vida para todos”.
El costo de remozamiento de Los Patos asciende a 57 millones de pesos y para El Quemaito, más de 26 millones de pesos.
Al tomar la palabra, el Presidente expresó que estos trabajos “forman parte de una visión de desarrollo turístico de toda la República Dominicana y especialmente de esta región”.
Destacó que esto será el motor dinamizador de la economía en Pedernales, Barahona, Bahoruco e Independencia pero también impactará a San Juan y Elías Piña desde el punto de vista agrícola y agropecuario.
También motivó a los ciudadanos a cuidar estas obras porque de esto se van ganar la vida cientos de familias.
“Estamos construyendo esperanza para que los habitantes de Los Patos y Paraíso se puedan ganar la vida, porque cuando se construye y se invierte, es para crear oportunidades, que vengan turistas, que se creen empleos y que los productores vendan sus productos”.
El Presidente fue además reconocido como visitante distinguido del distrito municipal Los Patos.
En Los Patos, se contempla la reconstrucción de la plaza de vendedores, módulos de ventas, baños y estacionamientos; construcción de un dispensario médico; rehabilitación de aguas residuales y paisajismo y el equipamiento de playa.
En El Quemaito se construirán aceras y contenes, casetas de seguridad, áreas de ducha y 33 parqueos.
Adicional habrá conexión a internet, cámaras de seguridad e iluminación.
De su lado, el ministro de turismo, David Collado, agregó que el objetivo es fortalecer el turismo.
“Queremos crear zonas de esparcimiento y recreación para los dominicanos que tienen el derecho de disfrutar de las bellezas y la naturaleza que tiene nuestro país, pero sobretodo de la belleza que tiene Barahona”.
De igual forma, la gobernadora Dionis González y el alcalde Francisco Alberto dijeron sentirse esperanzados y orgullosos porque ahora el sur va a cambiar y habrá desarrollo turístico y social.

Bahoruco. El presidente Luis Abinader inauguró el Hospital Municipal de Galván, remozado a un costo superior a los 10 millones de pesos y que impactará a más de 15 mil habitantes de esta comunidad y zonas aledañas.
En el acto inaugural, el mandatario recalcó que el gobierno está incrementando el presupuesto con honestidad y transparencia para mejorar cada día los servicios de salud y que el dinero que se paga en impuestos satisfaga los problemas de la gente y no los bolsillos de algunos.
“Estoy muy contento de estar aquí en Galván. Teníamos que venir con obras, realizaciones, ofertas y promesas de cumplimiento como esta, para que la salud de aquí y toda el área mejore sustancialmente”, dijo el jefe de Estado.
El director del Servicio Nacional de Salud, Mario Lama, dijo que la obra fue transformada completamente de un centro diagnóstico a un hospital municipal, con una inversión de 3.6 millones de pesos para la infraestructura y 7.1 millones de pesos para equipamiento.
Y agregó se abrió un proceso de adjudicación de 32 millones de pesos para la ampliación de la emergencia, que contempla la creación de áreas de admisión y facturación, cura, yeso, enfermería, triaje, nebulización y camas de observación. Además, el remozamiento de las áreas de Sonografía, Rayos X y Laboratorio.
El remozamiento abarcó pintura, pulido y brillado de pisos, cambio de puertas, señalización de áreas, readecuación de la recepción principal, enfermería, cocina, confección de mobiliario fijo en consultorio odontológico y estructuración de luminarias.
Mientras los equipos médicos incluyen 15 camas para hospitalización y seis de examinación, cuatro nebulizadores, un electrocardiógrafo, equipo de Rayos X dental de pared, 79 kits de sábanas, lavadora, secadora, estufa industrial, dos bandejas de parto, una de legrado, dos de cirugía mayor y una incubadora neonatal, entre otros.
También se anunció la terminación de una escuela, la donación de un vehículo para la Iglesia y el arreglo de unas 10 casas.
Remozamiento Balneario Las Marías
Posteriormente, el mandatario se trasladó a Las Marías donde le fue presentado el plano de diseño para el remozamiento del balneario, que será terminado en unos 30 días.
«Lo vamos a mejorar», expresó el Presidente a varios visitantes en el lugar que constituye uno de los principales atractivos de la provincia.
El gobernante solicitó al equipo de trabajo incluir un puente peatonal que ayude a preservar la integridad de los visitantes.
Con esta obra se encamina a Bahoruco y la región hacia el desarrollo y se da un paso de avance a la promesa de Abinader de convertirlo en un polo turístico.
Durante el recorrido por Bahoruco y Barahona, participaron los ministros, Administrativo de la Presidencia, José Ignacio Paliza; sin cartera, Geanilda Vásquez; los directores, del hospital, Ramón Oviedo; del SRS Enriquillo, César Díaz y de POLITUR, Minoru Matsunaga.
También la gobernadora por Bahoruco, Juana
Cristina Mateo; la senadora, Melania Salvador Jiménez; la diputada, Olfanny Méndez, entre otros.
