El discurso que tenía previsto pronunciar el presidente Luis Abinader para este lunes, donde daría a conocer los resultados de su primer año de gestión, será pospuesto para el miércoles próximo.
La información la dio a conocer la directora de comunicaciones de la Presidencia, Milagros Germán, quien aseguró que la decisión obedece a que todas las actividades estarán orientadas a prevenir cualquier eventualidad que se pueda presentar ante el paso de la tormenta Grace.
“El mensaje a la nación del presidente @LuisAbinader a propósito del cumplimiento del primer año de gestión de gobierno será postergado para el miércoles 18 de agosto. Todas las actividades este fin de semana se centrarán en la prevención y respuesta a la tormenta tropical #Grace”, escribió Germán en su cuenta de Twitter.
Abinader también suspendió la visita que tenía prevista realizar mañana domingo a Puerto Plata, donde dejaría iniciadas varias obras.
Mientras, la mañana de hoy encabezó un consejo de Gobierno en Baní, Peravia, donde anunció obras por más de 5,700 millones de pesos, entre ellas la extensión de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), y la Circunvalación de esa ciudad
