Las Estrellas Orientales vencieron con marcador 4-3 a los Tigres del Licey para provocar el séptimo partido de la Serie Final de la pelota invernal dominicana de la temporada 2023-24, dedicada a la periodista Onfalia Morillo.

Los orientales definieron el partido en la sexta entrada con un rally de tres carreras, para tomar el comando del partido 4-1. El héroe ofensivo para el conjunto ganador fue Robinson Canó, que conectó un par de dobles y un sencillo en cuatro oportunidades, con una carrera empujada.

La victoria provoca el séptimo partido de la serie, que será celebrado en el estadio Tetelo Vargas de la ciudad de San Pedro de Macorís a partir de las 7:30 de la noche este sábado

Duelo de pitcheo entre los abridores
Los veteranos lanzadores derechos dominicanos Esmil Rogers y César Valdez se enfrascaron en un duelo de pitcheo hasta la sexta entrada. Rogers lanzó cinco entradas en las que permitió cuatro hits y una carrera limpia, otorgó dos bases y ponchó a cinco bateadores y se adjudicó el triunfo. Por los Tigres, Valdez trabajó durante cinco entradas, permitió cuatro imparables y dos carreras limpias, otorgó una base y ponchó a tres contrarios, y cargó con la derrota.

Neftalí Feliz logró un salvamento de dos entradas en las que permitió dos hits y ponchó a dos bateadores contrarios.
