Santo Domingo, RD.- La investigación privada que ordenó el expelotero de Grandes Ligas David Ortiz, luego de ser tiroteado en el año 2019 ha revelado un supuesto ocultamiento de evidencias del exprocurador Jean Alain Rodríguez y la Policía Nacional sobre la realidad de este suceso.
Esta pesquisa realizada por el excomisionado de la policía de Boston, Ed Davis, y dada a conocer este sábado, revela que el narcotraficante César Emilio Peralta alias César el Abusador, mandó a matar a Ortiz sin que se tenga muy clara las razones de este hecho.
De acuerdo a la información, Ortiz dijo que contrató a Davis en parte porque estaba preocupado por la “integridad de la investigación dominicana bajo Jean Alain Rodríguez”.
“Para ser honesto, cuando vives en un país donde la justicia está corrompida, quieres creer (lo que alega el gobierno) pero también estarás en desacuerdo, y eso era lo que estaba pasando en ese momento”, dijo Ortiz a Davis.
David Ortiz reveló que Jean Alain Rodríguez lo llamó a su casa en Weston “dos meses después del tiroteo y le pidió que hiciera una declaración pública respaldando la teoría de la identidad equivocada”.
De acuerdo a la investigación, sobre esta llamada se cuentan con testigos, ya que el expelotero se encontraba acompañado de Davis, Prado, el agente de béisbol Fernan Cuza y Baerlein.
“Entendimos que el fiscal general estaba tratando de hacer desaparecer (la posible participación de Peralta) porque si Peralta caía, mucha gente en el gobierno iba a caer”, dijo Prado al diario de Boston.
Aunque la investigación realizada por el excomisionado de la policía de Boston asegura que César Emilio Peralta fue la persona que intento asesinar al expelotero, la razón precisa por la que Peralta pudo haberse sentido “tan irrespetado” como para ordenar que lo mataran sigue sin estar clara.
La indagación realizada por Ed Davis no pudo encontrar razones por las que César Emilio Peralta quisiera asesinar al expelotero.
